News:

-In 2008 my Quartet for saxophones will be released by Capstone Records. The recording will also feature the premiere of Lukas Foss' Saxophone Quartet, as well as works by Richard Brooks, Barbara Jazwinski, and Michael Veloso.

-In November 2007 I was in residence at the Ucross Foundation, Sheridan, Wyoming.

-The orchestral arrangement of Water will be appearing in Volume 15 of ERMMedia's "Masterworks of the New Era", performed by the Czech Philharmonic under the baton of Robert Winstin, and should be available early next year on iTunes, Amazon, etc. Please check back for updates.

-In June 2007 I was "inducted" into Marquis' "WhosWho in America".

-I participated in the "American Composers' Alliance Festival of American Music 2007" with my piece for solo violin, "Clayton Run-Around ", performed by Minghuan Xu, Violin.

-I participated in the "American Composers' Alliance Festival of American Music 2006" with my piece for solo clarinet, "Polyline", performed by Meighan Stoops, Clarinet.

-I participated in the Composers' Symposium of the Oregon Bach Festival from June 25 until July 3, 2005.

-The Water song cycle (As By Water and Sunset Water) for sextet and soprano was performed at the American Composers' Alliance Festival of American Music on June 11, 2005. Nancy Ogle will sing the soprano solo.

2005 Premieres:

  • April, a choral work based on the poem by W.S. Merwin, was performed at Boston University on April 25, 2005.
  • Wind Quartet (Double Fugue in One Movement) was performed at Boston University on April 26, 2005.
  • Excerpts from my orchestral tone poem Niagara were performed at Boston University on April 27, 2005.
  • I performed Notebook of Exquisites for pedal piano on April 11, 2005.
  • Halling for cello and viola or 2 celli was performed at Boston University on March 28, 2005.
  • After Ryokan for tenor voice and viola was performed at Boston University on March 14, 2005.
  • Pavane-Galliarde for harp was performed at Boston University on February 22, 2005.

2004 Premieres:

  • I performed the piano suite center at the College of Fine Arts concert hall at Boston University on December 7, 2004.
  • Three movements from the piano suite Le Tombeau de Honegger were performed by pianist Blair McMillen at the American Composers' Alliance Festival of American Music in June, 2004.
